Saturday in el Parque

Dan:
The tickle in my throat I had in Miami has now become a fully developed cold. I really wore down fast today. I had to take a nap in between trips to the park, and the boys don't like to do without daddy. Please pray that this cold goes away quickly.
We're really beginning to experience a little of what might be called normalcy. We have settled into a somewhat loose routine and little by little all the boys are becoming easier to live with. We really wore Andres down yesterday so he slept the best ever last night. Tonight everyone went down to sleep very easily. Yes!!
Went to a couple of parks to play today and that's about it. Probably the most uneventful day yet. Thank you, Lord!
There's a concert in a stadium down the street tonight, so the whole area is getting seranaded. We can hear it all loud and clear.
And here's.......Karen
Like Dan says it's beginning to feel "normal" or natural. The two younger boys were running back and forth in the house tonight. That's the most relaxed I've seen them. Loud, but relaxed. We got the video camera out today and tried to tape a little. They are such "hams" that it's hard to get much that's natural. We did video Andres about falling asleep eating his lunch. He was very funny. He could hardly keep his eyes open. He needs his nap as much as we do! We'll try to post some video tomorrow. Everyone is still eating well and tonight they are all in bed and ASLEEP at 9:30pm. I think we'll be close behind. A few special messages for those of you who I hope are reading:
Connie - it took Andres until afternoon today to upset the water Carmelita puts out for the birds. That's a record!
Lindsay - Juan Pablo was evidently not born with an "inside" voice. Guess I deserve that. :)
Mom - It's too bad you don't still have animals at home. Juan LOVES animals and bugs. He wants to pick up everything that is or was alive. He'll still have a blast on the farm tho.
Wendi - You were very accurate with the clothing sizes. Andres wears 18-24 months, Juan a 5 and Maicol a 6 or 7 (definitely needs slims in pants)
Mary -The boys are asking if they have lots of primos. They have the picture of your boys and are learning their names.
Mom & Dad - thanks for commenting on the blog everyday
Bethany - Learn Spanish fast, we need all the help we can get! After we called Thursday they thought everyone else we called was you.
Jonathan - Thanks for taking care of things at the house. Don't forget you promised to clean up before we get home. :)

Adios.

I love my daddy!

Round and round he goes...

Wearin' Daddy down.

If I could just break outta here...

I LOVE Carmelita! Too funny. Those birds are so amazing. You all are doing so well, the kids look happy. If you would like to email me, my email address is tchellmuth at juno.com. I can share an online ESL resource that you can start with while you are there, and you guys can learn spanish at the same time. If you're interested.

Christopher remains the most interested primo in the house. He really likes looking at the pictures. We're trying to learn enough Spanish to play Uno. Most of us have the appropriate numbers and colors down.

Juan wears the same size as Christopher and Maicol as Micah. In our house, though, Christopher is the only slim one. And none of Micah's long pants are long enough. I guess we'll have to be shopping before it gets cold here.

Hope Dan feels better quickly.

Mary

Tienes catarro? Te duele la garganta? Pobrecito.

We all are so excited to see new pictures each day, and we can't wait to see the boys in person! I'm constantly practicing my Spanish, especially with Christy, so maybe I can actually converse a little better next time. Andy is very excited that he has a new cousin his own age! We never imagined that he wouldn't always be the youngest grandchild. I know how much energy it takes with one 6-year-old; I can't imagine how exhausted you must be with three boys!

Thanks for posting sizes . . . Andy is slim, too, and he has been growing out of everything so quickly, we'll be sure to save everything we can.

Get healthy!

Love, Amy
