Welcome to our blog. We plan to use this primarily to keep you up to date on our journey to adopt a sibling group of 3 from Colombia. We started with the initial application to Children's Hope in January 2007 and are now 2-4 weeks away from having all of our paperwork completed and ready to be sent to Colombia. Once it is there and translated we will be waiting on a referral and hopefully travel 3-4 weeks after that. If current timelines continue we should be back with our children before the end of the year. We have requested children age 7 and under but did not specify boys or girls - so there are some exciting surprises in store for us! We will update this site as things progress and we know more specifics.

Wow! I can't believe how quickly your adoption went. That is amazing. We are looking at 36 months after approval for a pair of siblings ages 0-6. It would be much faster, though, if we were approved for 3, but we don't think our home study agency would approve us as our home is about 1,000 square feet (not sure where everyone would sleep!). :) Ami
